A · The basics
What areas do you service? 01
We proudly serve Bend, Redmond, Sisters, Sunriver, La Pine, Tumalo, Terrebonne and the surrounding Central Oregon communities. If you're nearby, chances are we can help.
What appliances do you repair? 02
Pretty much all of them — refrigerators, freezers, ovens, ranges, dishwashers, washers, dryers, both gas and electric. We also handle luxury brands like Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, and Viking.
Are you licensed and insured? 03
Absolutely. Repairs are risky enough — you shouldn't have to worry about liability. We're fully licensed, insured, and professional.
Do you repair refrigerator sealed systems?
We fix plenty of fridge problems, but sealed-system repairs are a specialist’s lane. Better Days Appliance Repair does not perform sealed-system repairs, including refrigerant leaks, recharging or compressor replacement.
If our diagnosis points to the sealed system, we’ll explain what we found and what kind of specialist you need. Sorry we can’t take that repair all the way—but we’d rather give you a straight answer than a fridge full of false hope.
B · Booking & visits
How do I book an appointment? 04
Book online in about 60 seconds, or call, text, or email us. If our phones are busy — thanks, technology — text or email and we'll personally return every message.
How soon can you get here? 05
It depends on scheduling and demand, but we do our best to respond quickly. Emergency breakdowns — like a fridge that stops cooling — get top priority.
What if I can't get a hold of you? 06
On the rare occasion you can't reach us by phone, texting is the next best option. Texts go straight through and let us respond quickly, even mid-repair.
Why didn't you call me back? 07
No message = no callback. We can't read minds (yet). If you don't leave a voicemail, text, or email, we assume it was a butt dial. Leave a message and we'll always get back to you.
Why do I have to be home for the appointment? 08
Because appliances don't open the door for us (and we don't climb through windows). We ask that an adult be home so we can go over the repair, explain what we're doing, and make sure everything's handled safely.
C · Money & promises
How much does a repair cost? 09
Service calls are $115 in Bend and $125 outside Bend within our service area. We provide clear, upfront pricing before any work begins. No hidden fees, no surprises. The service call covers the diagnosis, and if new parts are needed we'll explain what they are, why they're needed, and the exact cost before moving forward.
What does the 90-day service call warranty cover? 10
Our 90-day service call warranty applies to the same service call and appliance. Contact us within 90 days about a concern with that service call.
A different problem or another appliance needs a separate diagnosis. Your fridge’s repair doesn’t put the dishwasher on the guest list. We’ll explain any charges before proceeding.
Do you ever refuse service? 11
Rarely, but yes — we reserve the right to decline service if a situation feels unsafe or disrespectful. Our team's safety and professionalism matter, and we ask for the same respect we give you.
What does it mean to be blacklisted? 12
Being blacklisted means we'll no longer provide service — rare, and only after repeated harassment, unsafe behavior, non-payment, or deliberately false/malicious reviews. We welcome honest feedback, even tough feedback. Respect goes both ways.
Who can approve a repair?
The appliance owner or an authorized contact needs to approve the quote before we begin the repair. If someone else is paying—a spouse, landlord or property manager—please share their contact details when you book. An open door is a warm welcome, not approval for extra work. We’ll check before proceeding.
D · Parts & timing
Why can't you diagnose it over the phone? 13
We get it — it'd be great if repairs worked that way. But appliances need to be seen (and sometimes heard) in person. A funny noise on your end could mean ten different things on ours. We'd rather give you the right fix in your home than a wild guess over the phone.
Why does it sometimes take a while to get my part? 14
We don't make parts — we order them from trusted suppliers. When they give us an ETA, we pass it on right away; when they don't, we genuinely don't know either (we wish we did!). We'll keep you updated and call the second your part arrives.
Can JJ speed up the shipping on my part? 15
JJ's good, but he hasn't cracked time travel yet. We can request express shipping when it's available — usually with an extra cost — and we'll lay out the options.
E · Rentals & oddballs
Do you work with landlords, property managers, or realtors? 16
Yes! We regularly partner with property managers, landlords, realtors, and local businesses who want a reliable go-to appliance repair company.
What if my dryer is haunted? 17
We don't do exorcisms. But we do fix thumps, squeals, and rattles — so odds are, it's not a ghost.
